ANTI- PLAGIARISM POLICY & CODE OF ETHICS
What Constitutes Plagiarism?
1 . Using someone else’s work or research as your own.
2 . Putting your name on another person’s research, project or essay
3 . Copying text or ideas without giving proper citation
4 . Presenting research by altering words without giving citation
5 . Providing inappropriate information about source of quotation
6 . Purchasing and presenting another person’s text or idea as your own research
Similarity checks for exclusion from Plagiarism
1 . The similarity checks for plagiarism shall exclude the following:
2 . All quoted work reproduced with all necessary permission and/or attribution.
3 . All references, bibliography, table of content, preface and acknowledgements.
4 . All generic terms, laws, standard symbols and standards equations.
Note: The research work carried out by the student, faculty, researcher and staff shall be based on original ideas, which shall include abstract, summary, hypothesis, observations, results, conclusions and recommendations only and shall not have any similarities. It shall exclude a common knowledge or coincidental terms, up to fourteen (14) consecutive words.
Levels of Plagiarism and Penalties: It has been categorized as follows:
1 . Similarities up to 10% are considered to be minor and fall under Level 0 and no penalty will be imposed.
2 . For the similarities above 10% to 40% the author shall be asked to withdraw the manuscript.
3 . For the similarities above 40% to 60%, in such case author shall be asked to submit a revised script within a stipulated time period not exceeding 6 months.
4 . Similarities found above 60% may lead to cancellation of registration.
By submitting paper for publication to the journals published by the college, Author(s) certify that:
1 . I/We are fully aware that plagiarism is illegal
2 . I/We know that plagiarism is the use of another person’s idea or published work and to pretend that it is one’s own.
3 . I/ We declare that each contribution to your project from the work(s) of other people’s published works or unpublished sources have been acknowledged and source of information have been referenced and cited properly.
4 . I/We certify that you are solely responsible for any incomplete reference that may remain in my/our work.

I hereby declare that this piece of written work is the result of my own independent scholarly work, and that in all cases material from the work of others (in books, articles, essays, dissertations, and on the internet) is acknowledged, and quotations and paraphrases are clearly indicated. No material other than that listed has been used. This written work has not previously or not yet been published.
Ethics Policy
1 . Integrity: Integrity in research means to keep promises and agreements. Researchers must work with sincerity and the results should be described honestly and accurately.
2 . Honesty: To report data results, procedure and methods honestly without fabricating and misrepresentation of data.
3 . Objectivity: During designing, analysis of data, interpretation of data, peer review and other aspects of research avoid or minimize biased approach that may affect the research.
4 . Carefulness: Research work should be examined carefully to avoid errors and negligence. Good record of research activities like data collection, research design and correspondence with journals and agencies must be kept carefully.
5 . Openness: One should be open to criticism for new ideas. Data, results, ideas and resources should be shared with openness.
6 . Confidentiality: Communication like papers, grants or projects must be protected and kept confidential to prevent any damage on individuals who are subjects of research.
7 . Respect for Intellectual Property: Patents, copyrights and other forms of intellectual properties must be honored. Proper acknowledgement and credit should be given to all who contribute to research.
8 . Respect for Colleagues: The researchers must show respect for colleagues and treat them fairly.
9 . Social Responsibility: Researchers should work in a direction to promote social goods so that the research benefits society.
10 . Responsible Publication: The research work must be published in order to contribute towards research and not to advance just own career. Duplicative publication must be avoided.
11 . Laws and Regulations: In the arena of research, national and international laws and regulations, conventions and agreements must be abide by the researchers and institutions.
